About Us

Our Story

Guildford Library of Things was founded in 2024 as a joint initiative between Zero Carbon Guildford and Guildford Library. We used to have two libraries of things. Then, we thought, "Why not combine them?" So, we did! Now, we're stronger together, helping more people in our community.

Meet the Team

We're a passionate group of volunteers and Guildford Library staff. From handling loans and maintaining our inventory to marketing and outreach, each team member plays a big role in keeping Guildford Library of Things running smoothly.

About Guildford Library

Did you know that Surrey Libraries are social, economic, learning and cultural hubs right at the heart of communities across Surrey.

From rhymetime, crafts, coding and chess clubs, helping people to improve their computer skills, supporting new businesses, author talks, hosting reading groups and exhibitions... your local library has it all.

About Zero Carbon Guildford

Zero is a community-led space run by Guildford residents. We provide common sense solutions to cutting down on waste, reducing emissions and protecting our local countryside. We hope to inspire genuine change through our collaborative approach to addressing climate change by showing how a community can work together for the sake of its future and its younger generations.
